Lincoln Academy junior Nikki Leeman placed 10th at the Western Maine Class B cross country championships to qualify for the State Class B meet to be held at Belfast on Sat., Nov. 1 at 2:45 p.m.
Boothbay placed five scoring runners in the top 24 to win the Mt. Valley Conference boys’ cross-country championship Saturday morning at UMA in Augusta.
Medomak Middle School collected the very first trophies for their new school on Oct. 9 at the Busline League championships, held at Camden. The girls and boys placed second.
The final points race unfolded on Oct. 12 as faithful fans bundled in blankets to see the outcome of the championship standings for the season.
Medomak Valley boys’ soccer team jumped out to a 1-0 lead over Camden Hills in the KVAC championship game in Augusta on Oct. 23, but could not hold on, falling 4-1.

Medomak Valley girls’ soccer team had all they could handle Saturday night at Lincoln Academy’s Homecoming in Newcastle. Maia Snow scored the game winner, on a pass from Rozanne Jelenfy, 21 seconds into the second overtime period to lift the Lady Panthers to a 2-1 win. With the win Medomak improves to 8-1.
Both the Medomak boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams are headed to the State Class B championships, to be held at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast on Saturday. The boys run at 2 p.m. and the girls at 2:45 p.m.
Medomak Middle School picked up their second trophy of the year for their new trophy case on Sat., Oct. 18 at Rockland.
