Alna residents, after a lengthy debate and two failed amendments, voted to grant pay increases to all fire department officers at annual town meeting today.
The increases will cost the town $4250 per year.
The pay raises were the only item of any controversy at the meeting, which brought a full house to the Alna fire station.
The Lincoln County News will report more details of the meeting here and in the March 21 print edition.
