(posted 11/5 at 2:45 a.m.) Most Lincoln County towns have reported their voting results from the election on Tues., but several of those that haven’t reported yet could significantly effect some races that are still in doubt.
Towns not yet reporting include Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, Somerville, Southport, Waldoboro, and Whitefield.
The votes from Damariscotta and Waldoboro could change the balance of at least one close race, and several that are still too close to call.
The State Senate race in District 20 will see the greatest affect from these new totals. David Trahan with 6341 votes and Peter Rines with 6304 votes (as of this posting) have been neck to neck most of the night. Trahan, a Waldoboro resident, is expected to see a lot of support from his home town.
Other races hanging in the balance include State House District 51 where Jon McKane, who has been ahead most of the night, is still leading Peter Drum by just under 400 votes; and County Commissioner District 2 where Sheridan Bond is edging Joshua Pinkham with an approximate 300 vote lead.
Towns reporting as of this posting: Alna, Boothbay, Bremen, Bristol, Dresden, Edgecomb, Jefferson, Monhegan, Newcastle, Nobleboro, South Bristol, Westport Island and Wiscasset.
