Louisa Benson Mook and Matthew Timothy Graf were married on June 1 at the Newagen Seaside Inn on Southport Island. Dr. Edward White, family friend, performed the service. The groom’s parents read a poem, “Blessing of the Hands.” Cousins of both the bride and groom accompanied the procession playing a baroque Suite by Jean-Marie Leclair in a trio with cello, violin and oboe.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Karen Mook of Sheepscot. The groom is the son of Matthew and Mary Graf of Burlington, Vt. The man of honor was the bride’s brother, Will Mook. The best woman was the groom’s sister, Emily Graf. The groom’s brother, Rich Graf was an attendant and his son, Aiden was the ring bearer. The bride’s cousins, Hanna and Ella Seltzer were flower girls.
Louisa is a graduate of St. Paul’s School in Concord, N.H., Wesleyan University in Middletown Ct. and the University of Vermont School of Medicine. Matthew is a graduate of Essex High School, McGill University in Montreal and the University of Vermont School of Medicine. Louisa and Matt are moving to Seattle where they will begin their residency training. Louisa will be training in pediatrics at the University of Washington’s Children’s Hospital. Matt will be training in family medicine at Swedish Cherry Hill Hospital.
