The Midcoast Chapter of the Maine Women’s Network (MWN) cordially invites members, guests, and the general public to its sixth meeting on Wed., March 7 at The Haven Event Center on Rt. 90 in Rockport from 5:15-7:30 p.m.
Members, guests, and the general public are invited to enjoy dinner while attending the MWN meeting and learning from guest speaker Dr. Deb Moskowitz, N.D.
At each meeting attendees will experience keynote speakers or engage in workshop style programs that provide insightful practices and information on networking and offer opportunities to participate in fun exercises that will put these networking skills to work immediately in a safe and light-hearted environment.
These meetings attract an audience of 35 to 45 women each month who represent a fantastic cross section of professionals, artisans, practitioners and non-profit leaders in the Midcoast area.
Through engaging with each other at these monthly meetings attendees have a regular opportunity to build an extended network, strengthen existing relationships, and in general enhance their ability to get connected and stay connected.
This meeting is sponsored by Midcoast Chapter member Kim Gallagher from Continuum Physical Therapy.
On March 7, the Maine Women’s Network welcomes Dr. Deb Moskowitz, N.D. who received her undergraduate degree in Biology/Psychology from Vassar College and her doctorate from National College of Natural Medicine. Located in Portland, Ore., National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) is the oldest accredited naturopathic medical school in North America.
Dr. Moskowitz has practiced as a licensed naturopathic doctor in Portland, Ore., since 1994, where she combined private practice with research and consulting for natural products companies, medical laboratories, and integrative wellness centers.
She has developed over 30 natural products available in health food stores, pharmacies, and doctors’ offices. Dr. Moskowitz is an author and editor of “A Women’s Health Resource – A Guide to Health and Hormone Balance,” as well as numerous lay and professional articles.
Dr. Moskowitz utilizes her in-depth understanding of human biochemistry to support patient health with herbs, diet, nutrition, physical medicine, and more.
Dr. Moskowitz’s talk will focus on listening to one’s gut feelings: the way one eats, the way one thinks, and the way one behaves are all intricately connected and have direct influences on life. Time to start listening, too (and with) one’s gut.
The cost, which includes full buffet and dessert, time for networking and the presentation, is $22 for members and $30 for guests of members and/or non-members. Guests and non-members are always welcome. Online pre-registration for members, guests and non-members is required by Fri., March 2.
