The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency reports that as of 10 a.m. today, between 750-1000 citizens of Lincoln County remain without power. At the height of the storm Friday morning 12,800 residents were without power.
Currently, 43 roads are without power, versus 591 roads at the height of the storm. Over the weekend, an estimated 450 people took advantage of two operational overnight and seven warming shelters for warmth, showers, food and or overnight accommodations.
As of this posting all of Lincoln County’s emergency shelters have closed with the exception of the Lincoln County Animal Shelter in Edgecomb, which continues normal operations.
First responders, law enforcement, and local EMA directors have conducted welfare checks throughout Lincoln County. Nearly 700 volunteers have assisted the communities in Lincoln County throughout this event including Red Cross, all first responders, county staff, communications, citizens, and businesses.
Lincoln County Emergency Operations Center remained operational from 4 a.m. on Friday and was staffed by over 25 volunteers from two counties. All of Lincoln County’s major infrastructure in Lincoln County including hospitals, water facilities, and Two Bridges Regional Jail were operational throughout incident with assistance of the EMA.
