A Texas man has been arrested and extradited to Lincoln County for allegedly sexually abusing a 7-year-old Westport Island child “over an extended period of time” in 2010, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Stacy Parker, 37, of Little Elm, Texas, faces a charge of class B unlawful sexual contact, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, according to a sheriff’s office press release.
Parker was a friend of the child’s family at the time of the abuse, according to the press release. The Little Elm Police Department arrested Parker July 1, acting on a warrant obtained by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detective Scott Hayden.
He is currently in custody at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset with bail set at $25,000 cash. His next court date is Sept. 14.
