The Wiscasset Police Department has identified the pedestrian injured when she was struck by a tow truck while using in a crosswalk in Wiscasset Thursday morning
Wiscasset Police said 38-year-old Kasey McNamara, of Westport Island, was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment of possible head and leg injuries after the accident, which occurred at the intersection of Main and Middle Streets around 11:40 a.m. on Nov. 7.
Responding to the call, Wiscasset Police Officer Mike Smith determined McNamara had been struck by a flat-bed tow truck owned by Quick Turn Towing. The tow truck was operated by Evan Jones, 19, of Nobleboro.
As of 2:30 p.m. Nov. 8. McNamara remains hospitalized in Maine Medical Center where she is listed in fair condition.
