Exercises with kettle bells are more dynamic than those with dumbbells. The handle lets you swing it which raises your heart rate to an intensity that improves aerobic capacity while challenging multiple muscle groups. As Advanced Professional Personal and Senior Fitness Instructor Trainer Robin Maginn will demonstrate during her introductory discussion of the kettlebells workshop, form is very important. Used properly, kettlebells are senior friendly and can be used for maintaining and increasing muscle strength and bone density, and as part of a cardiovascular workout.
On July 28 come to the Coastal Community Center and learn about kettlebells and targeted exercises that you can do in the comfort of your home or as part of a group exercise class. To register for Robin’s July fitness and wellness workshop call 563-1363. Participant Fee: $10.
