Members of the public are invited to find out what is under the sea off the coast of Pemaquid Beach at a Beachcombers’ Rest Nature Center workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 30.
Underwater photographer and diver Brian Boone will describe the mysterious underwater world of Maine and talk about the sport of scuba diving. He will bring up some sea life for all to examine firsthand. Participants are encouraged to bring their “wet shoes” and bathing suits and prepare for an exciting time. All ages are welcome, but children under eight should be accompanied by an adult. The workshop is free, but participants must pay the town of Bristol’s admission fee to the beach. For weather cancellation, call Pemaquid Beach Park at 677-2754 that day.
