The Pemaquid Watershed Association will host two hikes in October. The first is a birding hike called Autumn Foliage and Migration, to be held on Friday, Oct. 7 beginning at 8:30 a.m. This hike is a part of the PWA Nature Explorations educational series. This hike will be a guided tour of Crooked Farm Preserve with expert birder Juanita Roushdy. Participants will hike the lovely trails and by the meadow to catch views of migratory birds and then look for water birds along the Pemaquid River. A bonus will be to check on the progress of the autumn foliage color along the trail.
