Barbara Ann Clark, née Mullen, 77, of Waldoboro, died Sept. 13, 2007 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
She was born June 3, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Penn., the daughter of Emma Margaret Booth and Robert J. Mullen.
She attended Muskingam College in New Concord, Ohio where she studied art and the humanities. She served with the Red Cross in Korea as a recreation specialist where she met her future husband.
She was the wife of James W. Clark for 49 years. The family moved to Waldoboro when her husband retired from the U.S. Army in 1975.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, and the Waldoboro Republican Town Committee and was an amateur artist. She enjoyed painting in all meda.
She was afflicted with Marfan syndrome her entire life. “She lived beside the road and was a friend to all who passed her way…”
She was predeceased by her son, David C. Clark, who died in 1983.
Survivors include her husband; son, Jeffrey M. Clark of Lawrence, Kan.; daughter, Jeanne A. Clark of Santa Monica, Cal.; grandson, Alexander M. Clark of Lawrence, Kan.; sister, Roberta Jean Pavlik of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; and nephews, Stephen and Jason Pavlik of Lorain, Ohio.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Sat., Sept. 15 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
Celebration of Barbara’s life 2:30 p.m., Sun., Sept. 16 at Hall Funeral Home.
