Beth Ann Babine, 68, of Warren, was granted her angel wings on Jan. 26. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.
She was born Dec. 18, 1942 to Melvin and Alice Farrin and grew up in South Bristol. Beth attended South Bristol High School, received a BA in Mental Health and Social Services, UMA 1995 and an AS Degree in Library Science. She was a homemaker and previously worked for DHS in Rockland, Bath/Brunswick Dept. of Mental Health Services, and Bristol Area Library. She was a member of Celebration Life Family Church and NAVHDA Hunting Dog Club, which was a passion she shared with her husband.
Beth truly enjoyed sewing, knitting, arts and crafts and quilting. She also enjoyed genealogy, reading, playing board games and music.
Beth was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Alice Farrin; great-grandparents, Ted and Hazel Farrin; father- and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Janet Babine; daughter, Leanne Young; son, “Buddy” Shannon Gilbert; and grandchildren, Craig Young.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Babine of Warren; brother, Christopher Farrin of Westbrook; daughters, Lauri Fitzpatrick and husband Jack of New Harbor and Lynne Drisko of Damariscotta; son, Darren Gilbert of New Harbor; stepchildren, Shawn Babine of Scarborough and Lawrence Babine of Bath; grandchildren, Jamie and Edison Young of South Bristol, Jennessa Fitzpatrick of New Harbor, Hayley Drisko of Rockland and Jessica Drisko of Damariscotta; and great-grandchildren, Gavin Fitzpatrick and Cedrick Young.
A visitation was held in her home on Jan. 27.
Celebration of life service 11 a.m., Sat., March 12 at Calvary Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Warren.
