Clayton Foye, 74, of Wiscasset, died Oct. 10 at Togus VA Hospital.
He was born in Wiscasset on Aug. 30, 1943, a son of Maurice P. and Doris L. (Pooler) Foye.
He graduated from Wiscasset High School in 1961 and joined the U.S. Navy. He helped build Maine Yankee in Wiscasset. He was then employed by Bath Iron Works for 28 years as a shipfitter at the Harding Plant, retiring in 2006.
He enjoyed hunting deer and fishing.
He was a member of the Wiscasset American Legion.
He was predeceased by brothers, Parker Foye and Maurice A. Foye; and sister, Barbara Rice.
He is survived by brother, Stan Foye of Pittston; sister, Lois Foye of Wiscasset; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Wed., Oct. 18 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset.
