Colin T. Kelley, 54, of Richmond, formerly of Paxton, Mass.; Augusta, Ga.; Jackson, Tenn.; and Christchurch, New Zealand, died April 3.
Colin was born in Framingham, Mass. He had lived in various locations before resettling in Maine, in the last few years of his life. Colin was the son of George T. Kelley (wife Eileen Kelley) of Vero Beach, Fla., and Mary Anketell Kelley, of Stockton Springs.
Colin earned his undergraduate degree at Bates College, and his MD at Uniformed Services School of Medicine. He had worked as a doctor and psychiatrist in various states and countries over the years. He recently resettled in Maine and was re-establishing his life, at the time of his death.
Colin leaves parents; beloved sons, Braeden, 18, and Thomas, 16, of North Carolina; sister, Megan Kelley-Dworkin of Newcastle; brothers, Gavin Kelley and wife Donna of Andover, Mass., Brian Kelley of Boylston, Mass., and Justin Kelley and wife Sharon of Northborough, Mass. He also leaves behind Kelley and Dworkin nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held privately in the Kincer Funeral Home in Richmond. Per Colin’s wishes, his body was cremated and his ashes will be spread at sea.
A memorial is planned for Colin, rain or shine, at 6 p.m., Sat., June 17 at Pemaquid Point Park, New Harbor. Friends are welcome to attend. A reception will follow at the Learning Center building at the park.
