Colman “Coley” Joseph Connelly, 73, a 30-year resident of Boothbay Harbor, died on June 5.
Colman was born in Boston, Mass., on Sept. 18, 1940, to William Charles and Mary Folan Connelly.
With a dream of having his own bakery one day, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 20 years. Upon his retirement, he launched his second career with P&P Pastry Shoppe. Coley owned the Pastry Shoppe for over 20 years. His final career was a school bus driver for Boothbay Harbor. Turns out, he was well suited for this.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary (Grant) Connelly; daughter, Patrice; son, Patrick and wife Kristen; six grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
There was a time of visitation on June 8 at Simmons, Harrington & Hall. A committal service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Tues., July 15 at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Rd., Augusta.
