David Bowman Sr., 70, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully on June 19 at his home after a long illness. He was born on May 23, 1944 to Mary Elizabeth and Victor Charles Bowman.
David was a father, a grandfather, a great-grandfather and most of all a great friend. He worked for B.M. Clark for 40 plus years where he built and designed bulk feed grain bodies. David was very well-known for his knowledge in fabrication, metal building and hydraulics. David also worked for a very dear friend, Revis Barrows at Cresant Equipment in Georgia.
David loved his family and friends. He went above and beyond for all of them.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Fran Bowman; parents, Mary Elizabeth and Victor Charles Bowman; brother, Victor Punkin Bowman; and sisters, Cheryl Bowman and Edith Orff.
He is survived by his children, Denise Bowman, Leon Bowman, David Bowman Jr. and wife Kelly, Stacie Miller and husband Lance, and Tracie Bowman; grandchildren, Jonathan Libby, Malcom Libby, Allen Bowman, Arrin Bowman, Erick Bowman, Jacoby Miller, Desiree Rogers, and Zoe Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Libby, and Hunter Coleson Libby.
A service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Thurs., June 26, at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Pastor Bob Bellows will officiate.
