David Deahl, 61, of Las Vegas, Nev. and Damariscotta, died unexpectedly on Dec. 20.
David was born on Feb. 12, 1947 in Wiscasset. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, during which time he was aboard the USS Forrestal. He also worked for many years at the Brunswick Naval Air Station.
David married Patricia (Woodward) Deahl in 1967. They just had celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.
He enjoyed spending time at the family cottage, his grandchildren and a good game of cribbage.
He leaves behind his wife Patricia Woodward Deahl; mother, Jean Mortimer of Wiscasset; father, Robert Deahl and wife Agnes of Charleston, W.Va.; brothers, Bobby Deahl of Wiscasset, Steven Deahl and Randy Deahl of West Virginia; sister, Jan Gamage and husband James of Dresden; daughters, Leigh Deahl and companion Donald Cronk of Bristol, and Lynn Deahl of Jefferson; granddaughters, Alexa Oliver of Damariscotta, and Ashley Deahl of Waldoboro; and great-granddaughters, Morgan Deahl and soon to arrive Mackenzie Hopkins.
A private service will be held at the family cottage on Biscay Pond this summer.
