Donald Lee Jones, 64, of Plymouth, Mass., passed away at his home on May 19. He was born in Bangor on Jan. 7, 1951, the son of the late Lewis and Patricia Comer Jones. Donald grew up in Jefferson and went to the local school and graduated from Medomak Valley High School, the class of 1971.
Donald worked as a carpenter for many years. He also worked at BIW in Bath, and worked at Camp Kieve in Nobleboro. He was also a volunteer at the Jefferson Fire Dept. Donald was involved in 4-H with the kids in the community that involved woodworking and horse shows. He loved watching NASCAR, Red Sox and the Patriots games on TV, listening to country music, dancing, and lobstering and clamming out in front of the house these past few years. He was an avid fisherman and loved his vegetable gardens. He also loved to travel to Florida during the winter months with his wife Roberta. His special joy was having the grandchildren visit during the summer. Donald’s love of life, his family and friends he held so very dear to him, will never be forgotten.
