Edna Elizabeth Black passed away March 22 in North Carolina. She was born Nov. 15, 1925 in Massachusetts to William and Bessie Jacobsen and grew up in Bremen.
Edna graduated from the class of 1945 at Medomak High School in Waldoboro. She married Edwin Black in Waldoboro in 1945.
Edna was a homemaker, staying home raising her five children. She also worked at Sylvania when the children were young. She loved to travel, especially down south and out west, and was active in the Boy Scouts.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Earl; daughter Ellen; and brother, Ernie.
She is survived by son, Ernest Black and wife Mary of Massachusetts; daughters, Eileen Bianchi and husband Carlo of Waldoboro, and Evelyn Waugh of North Carolina; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Sat., April 30 at the Shuman Cemetery in Waldoboro.
