Elizabeth Louise Sprague, 82, passed away on Oct. 18 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. She was born Sept. 12, 1933 in Rockland to Everett Ayers and Francis Nason. Elizabeth graduated from high school in Rockland. On Sept. 5, 1952 she married James E. Sprague Jr. in Rockland.
She worked in the fishing industry from the time she was 8 years old until 1984. She was a CNA and Med tech from 1980 until 2014. She was considered a workaholic. She loved crocheting and taking care of her family and animals.
She was a past member of the Rebekahs.
She was predeceased by her parents, Everett Ayers and Francis Nason; husband, James E. Sprague Jr.; sisters, Julia Noke and Merline Vose; and brothers, William, Robert and Eugene Nason.
She is survived by daughters, Linda Sprague of Waldoboro, Nettie Norwood of Searsmont, and Arnez Woodbury of Waldoboro; sons, Elmer Sprague of Augusta and James Sprague of Monroe; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no services held at this time.
