Ella Mae Bolan Philbrook, 72, of West Rockport, died unexpectedly Feb. 13 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born Sept. 9, 1937 in Camden, a daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor Bolan.
Ms. Philbrook worked for Kno-Wal-Lin Home Health and was a member of the Knox County Fish & Game Association. She enjoyed caring for others, watching soap operas, watching over Smith & May Masonry and shooting squirrels off of her birdfeeders.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Alan Lee Blackington.
Ms. Philbrook is survived by sons, Chuck Blackington and wife Jan of Warren, and Lance Philbrook of Montville; daughters, Chris Lane and husband Steve of Waldoboro, Carmen Douglas and husband Tim of Warren, and Kimberley Pendleton of Hope; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; half-sister and a cousin in Arizona, a cousin in New York; and too many extended family members and dear friends to list, but each of them dearly cherished by her.
To celebrate her life, her family will announce a barbeque at a later date.
