Emilio L. “Bud” Savaro, of Clarks Summit, Penn., died Nov. 25 at Mercy Hospice.
Born in Scranton, Penn., son of the late Frank and Amelia Fiore Savaro, he was a member of St. Benedict’s Church. He was educated in Scranton public schools, was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and attended Keystone Junior College. He was an Army Air Corps veteran, having been stationed in England during WWII. Before retirement, he was employed Stacor Corp. and TrueValue in Dalton, Penn.
Bud enjoyed woodworking and gardening, but most of all relaxing at his summer home in Pemaquid Point.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Gregory and Frank G. Savaro; and sister, Josephine Savaro.
Surviving are cousins, Angelina T. Scardamaglia of Clarks Summit, Penn., and Frances Adamo, of Scranton, Penn.; nieces and nephews, Francis P. Savaro and wife Brenda of Ransom, Penn., Michael Savaro and wife Heather of Newton Twp., Penn., Marcie Stella and husband Daniel of Duryea, Penn., Margaret Phiambolis and husband Dr. Thomas of Blue Bell, Penn., and Joseph Savaro and wife Jeannette of Blue Bell, Penn.; grandnieces; grandnephews; and cousins.
Funeral Nov. 30 with Mass of Christian burial at St. Benedict’s Church. Interment was at Cathedral Cemetery.
