Emogene Partridge Howe, 94, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away March 30 at the Gregory Wing, St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor.
Born March 13, 1913 in Farmington, she was one of three daughters born to Harry and Rena Pierce Partridge.
She graduated from Farmington Normal School and was employed, in her early years, by Central Maine Power Company in Augusta. She and her husband, Richard, who passed away in December of 2005, were married for 59 years.
Emy lived most of her life in the Augusta area. For the past five years, she was a resident of St. Andrews Village, in Boothbay Harbor.
She was a former member of the Kennebec Valley Garden Club, and South Parish Congregational Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Howe; and sister, Virginia Capps.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn R. Howe and wife Dianne of Boothbay Harbor, and Jeffrey C. Howe and Maureen Buchanan of Cheshire, Conn.; sister, Rachel Ward of Columbia, S.C.; granddaughters, Lindy Howe of New Sweden, Tracy Howe of Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia, and Kristen Howe of Los Angeles, Cal.; grandson, J.R. Howe of Essex, Conn.; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Houghton of Augusta, and Colby Briggs of Hallowell; and many nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the doctors and staff at St. Andrews Village, Gregory Wing, for their compassionate care and kindness.
A private family service will be held in the summer.
