Florence M. Connors, of Wiscasset, died peacefully at her home on Oct. 18 with her loving granddaughter Anne by her side.
Florence May Brookings was born on June 29, 1918 in Wiscasset to Everett and Frances Brookings. She married John Connors, her teenage sweetheart at the tender age of 16, and together their union produced four sons: John Jr., Edward, Kenneth and, Victor.
Florence was a devout Christian, attending church in her younger days, then watching Sunday services on the television when she no longer physically could manage outings. She had the privilege of observing multiple generations brought into this world and engaging in their lives.
Florence was predeceased by her husband, John Connors; sons, John Jr., Edward and Victor; granddaughter, Julie Ann Connors; sisters, Dorothy Pendleton, Frances Orr, and Kathryn Reed; and brothers, Randall and Donald Brookings.
Florence is survived by son, Kenneth Connors of Wiscasset; granddaughters, Anne (Connors) Wright of Wiscasset, Gail (Connors) Holbrook of Woolwich, and Julie Marie (Connors) Wagner of Seguin, Tex.; grandsons, Sean Connors of Austin, Tex., Jody Connors of Wiscasset, and Steven Connors of Saco; great-grandchildren, Michael Connors, Taneika Wright and Wayne Wright Jr., Jonathan, Brittany and Andi Connors, Jordan and Taylor Wagner, and Matthew and Mallory Holbrook; great-great-grandchildren, Mikel and Kayla Connors, Qiana Hyman, Latisha, Alezaya, Makynlee and Tayia Wright; three nieces; three nephews; and many other individuals who had their lives touched in some way.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 23 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Fri., Oct. 24 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset.
