Frank Lewis Clark, 78, of Exeter, N.H., passed away on March 5 at Exeter Hospital.
He was born in Hudson, Mass. on March 15, 1928, son of the late Fred Lewis and Annie (Harriman) Clark.
He graduated from Hudson High School in 1945, and served two years in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Kenneth S. Muir as a radioman. He graduated from Wentworth Institute in 1951.
On Feb. 10, 1951, he married Marjorie Coolidge, and recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Originally residing in Hudson, Mass., he moved to Amesbury, Mass. in August 1962 to work at Henschel Corporation, where he worked for 24 years.
He was very active in town affairs: Chairman of the Red Cross, Disaster Relief Chairman, Auxiliary Police Officer, and Member and Chairman of Trustees at the First United Methodist Church.
He moved to Exeter, N.H. in August 2004 after residing in Nobleboro since 1986.
He was a family man and raised eight children: Douglas E. and wife Sue of Bristol, Richard A. and wife Susan of Amesbury, Mass. and Madison, N.H., Kenneth W. of South Hampton, N.H., Brian S. of Rochester, N.H., David L. and wife Karen of Amesbury, Mass., Holly A. Moughan of Amesbury, Mass., Laurie B. Clark of Merrimac, Mass., and Heidi L. Dover of Raymond, N.H. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
