Jeanette (Reed) Giles, 75, of Boothbay, passed away Jan. 4 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on July 6, 1939, in Boothbay Harbor, the daughter of Emerson and Frances Reed. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Jeanette had a big heart and loved her family more than anything.
She enjoyed taking rides and shopping with her husband. She was an Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed her road trip to Graceland in October 2013.
Jeanette was predeceased by her parents; many brothers and sisters; and son, Carlton A. Giles Jr. in March 2014.
She is survived by her husband and soul mate, Carlton A. Giles Sr. of Boothbay; son, Richard P. Giles of Randolph; daughter, Susan Morgan and husband Skip of Boothbay Harbor; grandchildren, Rebecca Giles, Jackie Giles, Kaili Morgan, and Jared Morgan; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Tyler, and Chase; sister, Priscilla Stevens of Topsham; brother, Eugene Reed Sr. of Boothbay; niece and special caregiver, Judy Johnson of Boothbay; and many nieces and nephews.
At her request, there will not be a funeral.
