John A. Roe Jr., 69, of Wiscasset, died June 6 at his residence.
He was born in Chelsea, Mass. on March 2, 1944, the son of John A. and Ann O. (Heath) Roe Sr. He graduated from Hamden Academy, Worcester Academy Prep School and from Husson College with a business degree. He was employed as a truck driver for Yarmouth Lumber in Gray for several years, and was a U.S. Army Vet.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the north Maine woods.
He was predeceased by his sister, Jacqueline (Roe) Lloyd; his parents; stepmother, Kay Roe; and dog and friend, Amos.
He is survived by son, John F. Roe of Bridgton; daughter, Mary A. MacElman and husband Tom of Wiscasset; brother-in-law, Alex Lloyd of Connecticut; nieces, Erin and Andrea; and nephews, John, David and Peter.
