Mark Scott Munroe, 46, of North Newcastle, died unexpectedly on Nov. 5 at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta.
Mark was born June 10, 1961 in Boothbay Harbor, the son of Mark Eugene Munroe and Rebecca Parsons. He was a graduate of Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, then attended M.C.I and Maine Maritime Academy in Castine.
He was employed in the local area, recently delivering newspapers in the South Bristol area for the Portland Press Herald.
Mark s world revolved around his son and he loved more than anything else to spend time with him and had been his son s #1 fan, helping to coach him in baseball and football. He was passionate about being on the water, snowmobiling, watching NASCAR races, the Patriots, and his little dog Skipper.
Mark is predeceased by his grandfather, Dr. Neil Parsons.
Survivors include his son, Westleigh Munroe and his mother, Sandra Staples of North Newcastle; mother, Rebecca Parsons and Richard Guislin of Damariscotta; father, Mark Munroe of Exeter, N.H.; sister, Lori Munroe Cole and husband Raymond of Newcastle; grandmother, Joyce Parsons of Damariscotta; many uncles, including Lee Parsons and wife Regina Davey of Nobleboro; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Celebration of Mark s life 1 p.m., Sat., Nov. 10 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Interment will be private at St. Patrick s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mark s memory to a charity of one s choice.
