Mary Louise Glaude, 73, of Waldoboro, died on Oct. 29 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Glaude was born July 4, 1934 in Damariscotta, the daughter of Fred K. and Grace Nichols Keene. She was a graduate of Waldoboro High School, class of 1952.
On August 8, 1952, she married Richard T. Glaude, Sr.
She was employed by GTE Sylvania for 30 years, retiring in 1992. During retirement, Mary enjoyed playing the organ and the accordion, going camping, and traveling.
Mrs. Glaude was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Kathryn Simmons.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Richard T. Glaude, Sr. of Waldoboro; daughters, Beverly Grant and husband Bruce of Warren, Donna Gould and husband John of Camden, and Michelle Glaude of Waldoboro; son, Richard Glaude, Jr. and wife Marcy Corwin of Union; sisters, Brenda Simmons and husband Wayne, and Ruth Hoffses, all of Waldoboro, and Susan Hammond of Wiscasset; aunt, Laura Larrabee of Bath; uncle, Richard Keene and wife Ava of Bremen; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
In celebration of Mary s life, friends and family are invited to a potluck luncheon from noon-3 p.m., Sun., Nov. 18 at her residence at 1033 Old Augusta Rd., Waldoboro.
