Melissa Brewer Booker, 46, of Boothbay Harbor, died Sept. 5 at the Hospice House in Auburn. She was born Jan. 5, 1963 in Boothbay Harbor, a daughter of Charles and Susan Randall Brewer. She grew up in Boothbay Harbor and graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 1981.
Melissa worked for Hannaford in Boothbay Harbor for 25 years. She held many different positions over the years and lastly worked as a receiver.
She loved her dogs, gardening, cooking, sun bathing and spending time with her grandchildren and all of her special friends. She also enjoyed her annual trip to Florida.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Susan Brewer.
She is survived by her husband, William A. Booker of Boothbay Harbor; son, Ryan R. Hanscom of Farmington; daughter, Meagan Hanscom of Boothbay Harbor; sister, Michelle Graybil and husband Doug of Sarasota, Fla.; brothers, Matthew Brewer and wife Amber of Venice, Fla., and Michael Brewer of San Franscisco, Cal.; grandchildren, Lillyan Hanscom of Farmington, and Madisyn Thiboutot of Boothbay Harbor; aunts, Laurie Rich of Englewood, Fla., and Ginny Brewer of Boothbay Harbor; and several cousins.
Memorial service 5 p.m., Wed., Sept. 30 at Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay.
