Norman E. Russell, 70, of Candia, N.H., passed away Jan. 11 after a battle with colon cancer.
Born in Bath on June 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Lester and Bessie (Wentworth) Russell. He was raised in Maine and lived for a short time in Florida before settling in New Hampshire with his loving wife, Ginny (Virginia Roux-Russell).
He had many hobbies which kept him busy. He enjoyed barbecues, yard sales, flea markets, his cat Nacho, antique car auctions, and watching NASCAR and home improvement shows.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend to all.
Norman was predeceased by sister, Jeanette; brother, David; and sons, Mark and Donald.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ginny; brother, Joseph; children Gail, Laurie, Kim, Daryl, Scott, Christy, and Bryan; 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren with whom he loved to spend time; and friends and family in Lincoln County.
Norman will always be remembered as a loving, thoughtful, strong, and selfless person.
A small memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sat., Jan. 21 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1745 Candia Rd., Manchester, N.H. Committal service will be held in the spring in Whitefield Cemetery, Whitefield.
