Peter Mark Peaslee Sr., 48, of Jefferson, died from injuries sustained in an excavator accident June 24 in Jefferson. He was born Aug. 15, 1961 in Augusta to Forest and Delia Smith Peaslee. Peter grew up in Somerville and attended local schools. He worked for many years with Peaslee Construction and as a truck driver.
He was an avid hunter and loved guns. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was well known for telling jokes and helping anyone who needed a helping hand. He was a nice person and a “teddy bear.”
He was predeceased by his son, Peter Mark Peaslee Jr. who died in 2001.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lucille Leigh Peaslee of Jefferson; son, Joey Peaslee of Sidney; daughters, K.C. Peaslee of Augusta and Denni Lee Peaslee of Jefferson; grandchildren, Arizona Crooker of Jefferson, Joey Peaslee Jr. of Sidney, Porscha Ware of Augusta, Tymberlin Peaslee of Augusta, Riddick Peaslee of Jefferson and Nykee Peaslee of Augusta; brothers, Forest Peaslee Jr. and wife Linda of Somerville, Richard “Teddy” Peaslee Sr. of Somerville, Larry Peaslee of Somerville, Neil Peaslee and wife Sue of Somerville, Danny Peaslee of Somerville, Hunter Peaslee and wife Irene of Somerville and Ken Sidelinger of Augusta; sisters, Jane Huegal and husband Frank of Pennsylvania, Cecelia Rogers and husband Jim of Whitefield, Anne Potter and husband Richard of Somerville and Bunny Daniels of Dennyville; and numerous nephews and nieces.
An hour of visitation 10-11 a.m., Wed., June 30 followed by a funeral at 11 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Rev. Robert Dorr will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Jefferson.
