Phillip S. Crocker, 92, of Pemaquid Beach, passed away on June 7 at Montello Manor in Lewiston. He was born May 5, 1923, the son of the late Raymond E. and Carolyn (Smith) Crocker.
He attended Hawthorne Grammar School in Pemaquid Beach, where he met the girl who would later become his wife. He graduated from Bristol High School in 1941 and then enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1942.
After receiving further education in Boston, Phillip was employed as a designer with the General Electric Company in Schenectady, N.Y. After several years there he was employed at M.I.T., Lincoln Laboratory, as a design engineer. He retired in 1985 to his home in Pemaquid Beach.
He was a member of the Bristol Mills Masonic Lodge, The Scottish Rite and the Shrine.
He was predeceased by son, Brian Crocker in December 2014; and granddaughter, Alanna Phillips-Crocker in May 2005.
He is survived by wife, Claire Crocker of Pemaquid Beach; son, Kevin Crocker of Westbrook; granddaughter, Kristina Bacchiocchi and husband Ryan; great-granddaughters, Alexandria, Isabella, Juliette, and Cassandra of Rochester, Mass.
A Masonic Service to celebrate Phillip’s life with military honors will be held at a time to be announced.
