Prudi J. Pullen Merrill, of Topsham, passed away at her home from a long illness May 7 with her loving family by her side.
The daughter of Charles Pullen and Margaret Lovejoy, she was born Aug. 18, 1961 at Fort Hood, Tex. where the slogan was Hell on Wheels. She lived that motto through all of her days but at the same time, she cared about people and was a caregiver to the elderly. She had a strong will and intense enjoyment of life and nature. She was a free spirit who considered her extended family her rainbow tribe. She was loved by many young people to whom she always provided sanctuary. She will be dearly missed by all. A private family service will be held later this month.
She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Lovejoy; brother, Chris Pullen; sisters, Robin Miller and Karen Pullen; nephew, Alex Miller; and best friend, Jessie Haden.
She is survived by her long and loving partner, Mark Martin; parents, Charles and Donna Pullen; siblings, Susan and Flint Collier, Chuck and Tammy Pullen, and Jill Anne and Danny Nutter; children, Dustyn Merrill and Kodi Merrill of Norridgewock, and Seth Lawler, Shayna Ahern and April Hassan of Waldoboro; grandchildren, Levi and Christopher Merrill, Morgan Dehal; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Rd., Brunswick, ME 04011.
