Ralph B. (Pat) Cunningham, 91, of Farmingdale, formerly of Jefferson, died Jan. 24 at the Captain Lewis Residence, his home for the last eight years. Ralph was born Sept. 8, 1917, to Henry and Lila Linscott Cunningham of Jefferson. He was a 50 plus year member of both the Willow Grange #366 where he had served as Past Master and Riverside Lodge, Lakeview Chapter of the Masons.
Pat enjoyed pulling his oxen at various fairs, dancing, playing cards, and spending winters in Lakeland, Fla. Self employed as a dairy farmer, he also owned rental properties, sold insurance and was a cattle dealer. Always interested in politics, he was a former First Selectman for the Town of Jefferson.
He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Laura Creamer Cunningham; brothers, Roscoe, Percy, Clifton, and Lawrence; sister, Virginia; as well as infant daughter Rebecca, and son Warren.
He is survived by daughters, Joanne Bernier of Augusta, Linda Cunningham of Gardiner, and Deborah Willette and husband Patrick of Jefferson; son, Wayne Cunningham and wife Barbara of Waldoboro; and grandchildren, (John) Andy Bernier of Jefferson, Patty Bernier of Rhode Island, Sandra, Danielle and Thomas Cunningham of Waldoboro, Shawn Cunningham of Falmouth and Brent Cunningham of New York.
Graveside committal service will be announced in the spring.
