Reverend Gary Burrows Rundle, 78, of Waldoboro, died Sept. 10 at his home with his wife Carol at his side.
He was born in Meriden, Conn. on June 27, 1935 to Leslie B. Rundle and Dorothy B. Collett. He graduated from Wesleyan University in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. He received his Masters of Divinity at Virginia Seminary in 1961.
Gary served as a Minister in Episcopal parishes in Dover, Mass., Dorchester, Mass., and Gorham. He worked for Eastern Specialists of Maine as a job coach for adults with disabilities, which he often called his true ministry. Gary loved music and played trumpet with the Lincolnville Community Band.
Gary is predeceased by his stepdaughter, Penny Newton.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carol of Waldoboro; daughter, Anne Rundle of Merrimac, Mass.; son, William Rundle of Newton, Mass.; stepsons, Rick Lowry of Southbury, Conn., Christian Lowry of Portland, Ore., and Bruce Lowry of Boston, Mass.; four grandchildren; sisters, Marcia Killiam of Suffield, Conn., and Norma Baker of Wallingford, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held 11 a.m., Sat., Oct. 5 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
