Richard W. Hisler, “Ricky,” 53, of Winthrop, passed away at MaineGeneral Hospital, Augusta, on Jan. 3.
He was born Aug. 14, 1961 in Gardiner, a son of Richard and Patricia (Dubriel) Hisler. He worked in the commercial fishing industry at Atlantic Labs in Waldoboro and in construction until failing health caused him to be disabled.
His hobbies included camping, fishing, and dancing. He was an avid NASCAR and Patriots fan and enjoyed watching wrestling. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild in April of 2015.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Tony Willette and Donna Lucas.
He is survived by his fiancée, Carol Buck of Winthrop; daughter, Jessica Hisler and fiancé Mike Hoffses of Cushing; stepdaughter, Tammy Buck and her daughter, Lillian “Lilly” Pinkham of Phillips; sisters, Mary Jane Hisler of Augusta, Kathy Rhodes and companion Mark of Liberty, and Nancy Hisler and companion George of Dresden; and best friend, Danny Morse of Waldoboro.
Family and friends are invited to call 2-4 p.m., Sat., Jan. 10 at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., (Rts. 2 and 27) Farmington. Services will be held at 4 p.m. with a reception to follow at the center. All are welcome.
