Robert Ray Lemar, 59, of Dresden and Florida, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Aug. 20.
He was born in Gardiner on Feb. 3, 1958, the son of Raymond and Elzada (Thorndike) Lemar of Dresden.
Robert lived in Deland, Fla. most of his adult life as a diesel mechanic. He also served in the U.S. Army. He loved fishing and being outside but mostly he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his father, Raymond Lemar.
He is survived by his girlfriend of 16 years, Angela Turnbow and family of Deland, Fla.; mother, Elzada Lemar of Dresden; brothers, George and wife Tamara Lemar of Wiscasset, Kevin Lemar and girlfriend Paula Beckett of Wiscasset, and Greg and wife Wanda Lemar of Dresden; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Sat., Sept. 9 at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Dresden. Following the service there will be a get-together at Greg Lemar’s home, 285 Middle Rd., Dresden. All flower donations are to be sent to Pine Grove Cemetery.
