Ronald H. Bowers, 83, of Waldoboro, died Jan. 25 at Country Manor Nursing Home in Coopers Mills.
He was born Dec. 20, 1933 in Waldoboro, a son of the late Charles and Hazel (Mank) Bowers.
On June 25, 1958 he married Gloria Thompson. He was a graduate of the Waldoboro High School and earned his journeyman’s from the former SMVTI in South Portland. He retired from BIW after working more than 25 years as an electrician. He was a member of the Odd Fellows in Waldoboro and in Warren. For many years he volunteered with his wife at the Waldoboro Food Pantry.
In addition to his wife of more than 58 years of Waldoboro, he is survived by sister, Phyllis Prescott of Rockland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at the convenience of his family.
