Sarah B. Warren, 90, passed away Jan. 9 at RWC Retirement Community in Kilmarnock, Va. just shy of her 91st birthday. She was born Jan. 23, 1917 in Erie, Penn. to Elizabeth Devine Blair and Kenneth Blair.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Warren and her two sisters, Audrey Blair Curry and Nancy Blair Lang.
She is survived by her daughters, Christie Bartle of St. Croix, Virgin Islands and South Bristol, and Nan Moody of Tavares, Fla.; grandsons, Mark Bartle and Rick Bartle, and great-grandson, Samuel Erent Bartle.
She was the head of volunteers at the Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut, and enjoyed boating and cruising from their home in South Bristol. Sarah enjoyed growing her lovely flowers and was a supporter of the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay and St. Croix. She was a whiz at the N.Y. Times’ crossword puzzles.
Memorial service 2 p.m., Sat., July 19 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 11 Glidden St., Newcastle.
