Sean C. Forde, 75, of Bremen, passed away on Aug. 25 at home with his wife by his side. The cause of death was lymphoma.
Sean was born on June 11, 1941 in Galway, Ireland to Christina (Flanagan) and John Forde. He was educated at the O’Cornell Street Christian Brothers School in Dublin, Ireland. He finished his education in New York where he received a BS from Fordham University and masters degree from C.U.N.Y. Sean was employed for many years as the Chief Financial Officer at the Zimmer Corporation.
Sean was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served two years in Germany in the early 1960s. He was a fine athlete excelling at Irish sports and golf.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; and a sister.
He is survived by wife, Mary; daughter, Missy (Jim); three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Fri., Sept. 1 at St. Patrick’s Church in Newcastle. Burial will be private.
