Shane Roland Prior, of Cushing, passed away on Aug. 15. He was born on Aug. 20, 1981 in Rockport to Paul Prior and Judi Prior.
Shane grew up in Cushing and attended Cushing and Thomaston schools. Shane was a longtime clam digger and known as one of the best. DownEast magazine featured an article about him. He did electrical/plumbing and heating work and recently started working as a carpenter with Heritage Builders. He received his oil burner technician certificate and was currently in the process of getting his truck driver’s license. He enjoyed driving with his best friend Mike Secotte. Shane loved to build things, including a beautiful playhouse for his daughters. His daughters were his life along with his partner Michelle Creamer.
Shane is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Arlene Winslow; paternal grandfather, Maitland Prior; and uncle, Kenneth Prior; along with his great-grandparents, Roland and Helen Prior.
He is survived by his mother, Judi Prior of Cushing; father, Paul Prior of Waldoboro; daughters, Alaina and Lauren Prior of Cushing; brother, Heath Prior of Rockland; grandmother, Penny Prior of Cushing; longtime partner, Michelle Creamer of Cushing; extended family through Michelle: her parents, Denice and Jeffrey Creamer; Michelle’s four siblings; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sun., Aug. 21 at Fairview Cemetery, on Patterson Mill Rd. in Warren. A reception will follow at Shane’s Aunt Pam Prior’s house at 25 Prior Lane, in Cushing. The family invites all friends and family to come support them on this sad day.
