Sharon Lee Rackliff, 72, of Dresden, passed away peacefully at her home on June 17.
She was born in Gardiner on Sept. 28, 1944, a daughter of Sam and Alice (Haskell) Trussell. She was educated in local schools and went on to be a homemaker raising her family.
Sharon enjoyed gardening, baking, and sewing, which she was known for making her own clothes. She loved all of her many pets throughout her life. Sharon was a devout Christian attending the Grace Bible Church in Gorham where she was especially fond of Pastor Bob White’s sermons. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and the Lions Club.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Sam Trussell in 2006, and Alice Trussell in 2011; and husband, Gerald Rackliff in 1999.
Sharon is survived by her children, Scott Rackliff, Catherine Buechler and husband Ken; special daughter-in-law, Sarah Rackliff; grandchildren, Cody, Kimberly, Brittany, Courtney and Victoria; siblings, Cheryl Brunell, Linda Parks, Beverly Accord, and Mike Trussell; and special friends, Clarice Taylor and Barbara “Mother” Shorette.
Services for Sharon will be held at 11:45 a.m., Fri., July 28 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, followed by a celebration of life in Dresden.
