Shirley Brown Haselton passed away on Dec. 14 at the Gregory Wing at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor, surrounded by her family.
She was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Newton Centre, Mass., the daughter of Jonathan and Katharine Greeley Brown III.
During WWII, she lived and attended schools in Boothbay Harbor. She was in the class of 1946 at Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, Conn.
She married Philip H. Haselton in 1947, and they raised four children together while residing in Short Hills, N.J.
Survivors include her husband, Philip, of 59 years; daughters, Kay Wilder and husband Matt of West Boothbay Harbor, and Carol Pfister and husband Paul of Glen Gardner, N.J.; sons, Gary Haselton and wife Cyndi of Mallet’s Bay, Vt., and Philip Haselton and wife Kerry of Bernardsville, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Celebration of her life will be held in the spring.
Arrangements are entrusted to Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Boothbay.
