
Stanley “Charlie” A. Vannah Jr., 84, of Waldoboro, died Friday evening March 2 at his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1933 in Waldoboro, a son of the late Stanley A. Sr. and Louise (Creamer) Vannah.
For more than 47 years he worked on the Moody Farm in Nobleboro.
He was preceded in death by daughters, Jean and Sara; and brother, Richard “Sammy” Vannah.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Nancy J. (Potter) Vannah of Waldoboro; children, Lynn Waltz and husband Stan of Nobleboro, David Vannah and wife Susan of Waldoboro, Thomas Vannah and wife Karla of Waldoboro, Mario Apaldo and wife Sherry of Rockland, Rebecca Hart and husband David of Nobleboro, Theresa Abaldo and wife Tammy of Waterville, and Beth Bizier of Waldoboro; sisters, Joan Genthner and husband Clyde of Bremen, Susan Butler and husband Drew of Waldoboro, and Sally Fogleman of Waldoboro; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a service to celebrate Charlie’s life, at 1 p.m., Sat., March 17 at the North Nobleboro Baptist Church, 546 Upper East Pond Rd., Nobleboro. Rev. Robert Bellows will officiate. Spring interment will be in the German Cemetery in Waldoboro.
