Susan “Sue” M. Spillane, 53, of Wiscasset, died on Aug. 14 of cancer at the St. Andrews Village Nursing Home in Boothbay. She was born on April 10, 1955 in Damariscotta to her father Harold A. Shea, Sr. and her mother, Beatrice C. Jones-Shea of Wiscasset. She graduated at Wiscasset High School in 1973.
She worked for the U.S Postal Service for many years, as well as Shaw s in Bath for nine years and many other jobs throughout her lifetime. She was hard-working and very well known.
She enjoyed camping, the outdoors and going on vacations. She loved spending time with her kids and her dog, “Max” and cat, “Sox”. She enjoyed playing BINGO, and playing cards and she was famous around her house for making a mean lasagna.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa M. Spillane, 20, of Wiscasset-Waldoboro; son, Michael A. Spillane, 18, of Wiscasset; niece and nephew-in-law Carrie and Chad Plourde and their children Abigail and Noah of Wiscasset; close family/friend Linda and Tanisha Mansfield of Freeport, and many close friends.
A private funeral service will be announced at a later date.
