Terence “Terry” Eugene Foster, 77, died July 11 in Ojai, Cal. He was born June 2, 1929, in Massachusetts to Carl Foster and Patricia Ringer.
He joined the Air Force in April of 1948. The majority of his time was spent flying the Air Lift in Germany. After his discharge in 1953, he married and settled in Edgecomb, near his parents. He moved his family to Ventura County in California in the 1960’s due to his sons’ health.
Mr. Foster worked as a carpenter in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties for many years. He was a member of the Ojai American Legion for 41 years. His interests included camping, hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding.
He is survived by his wife, Marge and her children, Margie, Tom and Mary; Marge’s grandson and wife, Mark and Teresa Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Pattie Foster of South Bristol; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Chuck Parmelee of Waldoboro; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Ruth and Lois; and three sons, Andrew, Terry and Ernie.
Reception in Mr. Foster’s honor 2 p.m., Sat., July 15 at the American Legion Post #482 in Ojai, Cal.
