Theresa Rose (Corbett) Burrill, 90, longtime resident of Jefferson and Sagamore Highlands, Mass., who was born Sept. 20, 1927, passed away Oct. 11.
Theresa moved to Jefferson in 1978 with her husband, Carl Burrill. They restored the Acorn Mill on Davis Stream and opened an art and craft gallery in the mill showcasing the work of local artists and craftspeople. When Carl passed away in 1995, Theresa closed the gallery and focused on her own watercolor painting, art quilting, family, and travel. Throughout the years, Theresa was very active with the Jefferson Historical Society, the Jefferson Library, and Hearts Ever Young singing group in Damariscotta.
Theresa was living at Woodlands in Lewiston at the time of her death shortly after her 90th birthday. Her friends and family remember her as a creative, wonderful, and sharing person.
