May 12: Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident in the Irving parking lot at 2:30 p.m. David Davis, 51, of Fairfield, was driving a 2013 Toyota sedan, which was legally parked. Antoinette Webb, 34, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2009 Pontiac sedan. Webb backed into the Davis vehicle. There were no injuries.
May 13: Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on Storer Mountain Road at 1 p.m. James Letteney, 23, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck. He took his eyeglasses off to check them and the vehicle went off the road into a ditch area, coming to rest against a telephone pole. There were no injuries.
May 16: Officer Fuller investigated an accident at the intersection of Atlantic Highway and Main Street. Nancy Marcille, 69, of Damariscotta, was driving a 2008 Toyota sedan. Dean Grierson, 68, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2008 Dodge sedan. Both vehicles were northbound on Atlantic Highway. Marcille was distracted by her purse falling out of the passenger-side seat, took her eyes off the roadway in an attempt to catch it from falling, and struck the Grierson vehicle in the rear.
